Jeremy Hellman, CFA

Jeremy joined The Equity Group in January 2016 with 23 years of experience in equity research, hedge fund management and trading. He develops and executes comprehensive investor relations programs for companies in a range of industries, including Industrials and Financials, among others.

Jeremy manages all aspects of the IR function including strategic investor communications, investor and analyst outreach, C-level advisory, and market intelligence and analysis. Jeremy’s approach to investor relations draws heavily on his experience as an analyst and portfolio manager with an emphasis on clients’ long-term value creation strategies.

Jeremy’s equity research experience began at Thompson, Davis & Company, as a Small-Cap Analyst. He was subsequently promoted to Director of Research at the firm, a role that included continuation of his own coverage list in addition to management duties. He went on to be a Director and Senior Research Analyst at Divine Capital Markets where his research coverage included energy-related themes and emerging technologies. Jeremy was jointly responsible for the development of the firm’s Efficiency 3.0 research thematic while also authoring several macro reports covering areas such as water and the smart grid. Then he became Director of Research and Chief Operating Officer at Singular Research, where he also provided research coverage on a diverse set of companies including issuers in the financial and energy sectors. Additionally, Jeremy ran a hedge fund, Avenue-T Fund, which pursued an equity long/short strategy focused on small-cap companies, for seven years.

Jeremy received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the E. Claiborne Robins School of Business at the University of Richmond, and began his career as a NASDAQ market maker.
